Financial goals

Name what you are saving for, check in your balance and see whether your pace gets you there.

Goals live in Money: Goals on the web (Money → Goals), and in the Money tab on your phone. A goal is a number and a year — Yuki works out what it takes and, from the balances you check in, whether you are on track.

Set a goal

  1. 1Open Money → Goals and choose Set your first goal (New goal once you have one).
  2. 2Pick what you are saving for: Retirement, Buy a house, Buy a car, College fund, Savings pot, Emergency fund, Travel fund, Wedding, Business or Something else.
  3. 3Give it a Goal name, a Target amount and a Target year. A retirement goal asks for your target annual retirement expenses and a withdrawal rate instead.
  4. 4Choose who’s in this goal: Just me, or one of your groups, then tap Save goal. What it takes shows before you save.

Check in your balance

Tap Check in balance and enter your Bank balance, Investment value and, if you like, What you owe. Earmark to a goal ring-fences an amount for one goal; Count toward everything keeps it in the overall picture. Extract from statement reads the figures from a bank or investment statement for you to check.

  • Status — each goal reads On track, Behind, Achieved, Not started or Needs setup, with At this pace showing where you would end up.
  • My check-ins — every balance you’ve checked in, newest first, to edit or delete.
  • Investments and Liabilities — what you own and what you owe, next to Goals in Money.
Pro, including the Pro trial. In the app today, Goals and Investments open with Pro or an active Pro trial; on Free, Goals shows “Goals are part of Yuki Pro”. A check-in is a snapshot you enter, not a live bank balance — no bank connection is needed. See Pro trial & billing.
